Section 1: Introduction

NESTA and the Harris Federation have developed a toolkit that will help other schools and local authorities design and implement their own student commission on learning. Part 1 of the toolkit has six sections (1-6) and covers the planning and set up phase. Part 2 has four sections (7-10) and looks at second phase of more detailed enquiry into learning.

From this website you can access both parts of the toolkit by downloading them in PDF format and you can also view and download many additional resources (documents and video) developed through the Harris Student Commission on Learning.

The website is structured around the ten main sections of the toolkit.

In this section of the toolkit you will find information about:

1.1 The student commission on learning as an innovative and practical approach to improving student engagement
1.2 Developing your own student commission on learning – how to use this toolkit
